Condensing Boilers

Find Home Heating Systems SuppliersCondensing boilers, burning gas or oil, condense the flue (exhaust) gases and increases the efficiency of combustion to approximately 92% or higher. A condensing boiler is more efficient because it has a second heat exchanger, or an extra large one, that scavenges the heat lost from the initial process of burning gas or oil. These boilers are more costly to buy than conventional boilers but used correctly the price difference will be recovered over a number of years due to reduced annual running costs. Your final payback period will depend on your usage levels - please consult your local supplier who will be able to provide specific information for your circumstances. A condensing boiler will score a higher rating than a standard boiler in your Building Energy Rating (BER) assessment due to it's better fuel efficiency.

Condensing BoilerThese boilers operate at maximum efficiency when running at lower temperatures and are ideal for under floor heating systems (because the recycled flue heat makes up a large proportion of the total energy used).

A condensing boiler will emit a plume of water vapour to the atmosphere during operation, this is normal and harmless.
